Gold Note Mediterraneo

A PURE HIGH-END PRODUCT FROM ITALY Inspired by their Italian heritage, the Mediterraneo turntable combines beauty and technical perfection into a unique instrument for musical enjoyment. It is Gold Note's own ode to musical passion and devotion to vinyl. The 60mm thick curved plinth design is based on the Catenary curve, a highly effective concept developed by Renaissance players, Michelangelo Buonarroti and Galileo Galilei. Made from Italian walnut hardwood, the chassis benefits from the quality of such noble materials: exceptional elasticity, strength and high density. The triple plinth structure is reinforced by a convincing 20 mm disc in polished acrylic and a 3 mm thick disc in stainless steel to enhance its exceptional damping quality and stability. The wooden base sits on three elegantly shaped and adjustable anodised aluminium spikes. The 45 mm thick high-precision plate made of high-density POM is belt-driven and powered by a proprietary control system developed on a Quadral-Core microcontroller augmented by an audio transducer. The power controller rebuilds the AC wave to perfectly drive the 12V synchronous motor, removing vibrations while improving its torque, to deliver the greatest dynamics and finest details. The power supply unit electronically controls the 33⅓rpm and 45rpm modes as well as the fine speed adjustment, and stores all settings in memory. The Mediterraneo has an 80 mm long bearing/spindle design, made of the hardest rectified carbon steel to achieve perfect working conditions. The bearing system is made of bronze which guarantees the smoothest possible rotation of the disc.
