Description

Designed to deliver an outstanding musical experience, the Gold Note P-1000 MkII is aimed at high quality audio systems. It is an innovative Class A preamplifier driven by a new proprietary six-stage gain. The design is balanced with relays and optical ALPS Encoder volume control. The very best in audio technology is used to deliver an outstanding musical experience, with extremely low distortion and extended linear frequency band.
The P-1000 MkII features a design with three independent linear power supplies and 8 stereo inputs: 4 balanced XLR and 4 RCA. In addition, it also offers many advanced features: Mono/Stereo selection, left/right channel switching, absolute phase change, Booster technology and fine tuning of left/right balance.

The P-1000 MkII has military grade anti-noise coils and capacitors on the six output stages which are also clamped with specially made copper clips.

To most faithfully reproduce old recordings, the amplifier can be set to mono, and it allows left/right channel switching, making it easy to reproduce reverse recordings. The absolute phase shift (0°/180°) can be useful when integrating the amplifier into your system.
Booster technology is designed to help you drive speakers that require extra power, by providing more energy in a very specific low frequency range - the feature is completely bypassed when set to OFF.
The amplifier's large colour display shows all functions and allows for quick and precise fine-tuning, whether using the SKC button or the infrared remote control, making this amplifier easy to use.

Upgrades:

  1. PSU-1000 series: Help the P-1000 with perfect power through either of these two separate power supplies. Gold Note has created these external power supplies for a very good reason! As usual, clean power is the basic requirement.
  2. TUBE 1006 or 1012:. A stroke of genius from Gold Note! This is for you who want to add a tube sound to your system without having to switch to a tube amplifier. This is a tube output stage used between preamplifier - power amplifier, between a CD player and pre stage, between ds-10 and pa-10 and not least between DS-1000 EVO and P-1000 or DS-1000 EVO Line (with the built-in pre stage) and PA-1000.

Booster is a feature designed to reproduce the lower frequency range with power and control. It acts as a custom equalisation that increases the gain around 50Hz to produce a fuller and richer sound. The 50Hz frequency was chosen because lower frequencies are more difficult to achieve with small speakers. Booster provides a richer and fuller sound, for better realism and dynamics. It is particularly useful for speakers that require more energy in the bass frequencies, for night listening at lower volumes, or even to achieve a more realistic space. The booster is fully bypassed when set to OFF, applied to the 50 % when set to 1, applied to the 100 % when set to 2.

Gold Note has created an extremely exciting tube product: an output stage with tubes for a wonderfully vivid, rich and nuanced musical reproduction. You can place it, for example, between the pre and final stage or perhaps between a CD player/DAC/Phono stage and an integrated amplifier and can thereby add the magic of the tubes, the nerve of the instruments and the musical sound flow. In terms of sound, the two models can be summarised so that the Tube 1012 contributes more tube quality than the 1006 model. Tube is not bound to Gold Note but can be used freely.
