The Line Magnetic 805iA is an integrated tube amplifier that uses the 805 triode tube in a single-end design that operates entirely in Class A and achieves a full 2 x 48W. The 805 tube was used by radio stations as a transmitter tube.

What you need to be aware of is to check your surroundings. If there is a transmitter mast in the immediate vicinity, it can interfere with the amplifier and create a humming sound. Otherwise, this is a great amplifier for speakers with lower sensitivity and/or large rooms.

Description

The Line Magnetic LM-805iA is a Class A single-ended integrated tube amplifier using 805 triode tubes. It delivers an output of 2x48W and is characterised by its high-quality components, including Mundorf N-Cap capacitors and an ALPS potentiometer. The use of the legendary 805 triode offers a listening experience with unusual musicality. The backlit front panel meter is used to adjust the polarisation of the tubes.

Key features of this amplifier include its single-end design with point-to-point wiring and high-quality components. The pipework steps as follows:
