The Gold Note PA-1175 MKII is a Class AB power amplifier with selectable damping factor for easy matching with a variety of speakers. It features a proprietary optical BIAS that delivers high power with ultra-low distortion. The optical bias controls the voltage of the device and features optical decoupling to overcome degrading solutions from traditional electronics. By optically analysing the signal while completely separated from the audio signal path, the highest level of protection and unbeatable performance is guaranteed. The PA-1175 MkII is built to minimise RFI and EMI (interference) by using solid panels of high quality aluminium that feature the distinct design of the Gold Note arched ventilation pattern. The BTL (Bridge-Tied-Load) technology allows the unit to be easily bridged to act as a mono amplifier. The remarkable 200W @ 8Ω per channel in stereo mode increases to a substantial 520W per channel in mono. To power the most demanding speakers on the market, the PA-1175 MkII allows you to drive them easily and with high pure audio performance.

The PA-1175 MkII power amplifier transformer is a special toroidal model that has a unique cut spiral nucleus. The refined mechanical process makes the nucleus completely stable, eliminating any mechanical vibration to ensure excellent performance and perfect isolation. A smaller secondary transformer powers auxiliary functions with dedicated circuitry outside the audio signal path. The PA-1175 MkII features a proprietary adjustable damping factor technology that can be easily selected from the front panel. Setting the damping factor to 250 or 25 helps you find the ideal match with any type of speaker. Use it at 250 to get the power and control needed to drive large, low-sensitivity speakers or set it at 25 to use the amplifier as if it were a low-power tube amplifier, perfect for driving high-sensitivity and mini-monitor speakers.
