Rel Acoustics NO.32
No.32 is part of the REL Acoustics reference series. It has a special position that takes the company's reference range to an even higher level. The No.32 retains the beautiful design of the company's curvilinear reference cabinet and features an updated 15-inch (380mm) true carbon fibre element. It is powered by an ultra-reliable NextGen 7 Class D 1,000 watt amplifier equipped with thin film capacitors. The result is a flagship model that offers superior dynamics, richer tone colour and a freer, more expressive character.
Design
No.32's cabinets follow a curvilinear path established over a decade ago. The top of the cabinet drops down at the back corners, creating a very beautiful effect. It also features triple steel handles embedded in ellipses for a secure grip, which is necessary when lifting an object weighing over 90kg.
Item
The heart and soul of the No.32 is its 15-inch (380mm) driver. The driver cone is constructed entirely from carbon fibre. In addition, a carbon fibre centre cap is overlaid on the primary cone surface. This construction results in a much stiffer driver that possesses superior self-damping properties.
Amplifiers
No.32's NextGen 7 Class D 1,000 watt amplifier has been used in its predecessor for over seven years. This amplifier is known for its reliability. Its implementation in No.32 combines a new limiter with a much wider envelope to allow the widest dynamic range possible.
Remote control
No.32 comes with a REL Reference Remote Control. This remote control is perfectly designed to fit in the palm of your hand and provides a sense of quality and durability.
One user review mentions that after a month with a pair of new REL 32s, they can say that they are absolutely fantastic and exceed what they had imagined. They provide very low bass that is fast, clean, realistic and powerful.
