The design is a Class A tube output stage in a Totem-Pole design with 12 6n1p tubes for the 1012 model and 6 6n1p tubes for the 1006 model. For replacement tubes, please see the manuals. PlacementTube is placed between a source such as a DAC, DAC/Streamer, CD player, phono stage and an integrated amplifier or preamplifier. If you have a pre- and final stage, it can be placed between the pre- and final stage. tubes and amplifiers are capable of providing amazing control and definition, giving outstanding realism in the reproduction of music. But if you prefer the warm sound of tubes and want to take your system to its very highest performance, the TUBE-1012 or TUBE-1012 is the way to go. Connect it to your Gold Note electronics and you'll hear solid-state and tubes playing in perfect harmony to deliver the best high-end listening experience.
Connections: Thanks to 3 audio inputs on the back of the panel, the TUBE tube output stage can be connected to up to 3 sources simultaneously using TUBE INPUT for Gold Note sources (it is a 5-pin XLR that handles both input and output) and 2 LINE INPUT + 2 LINE OUTPUT (RCA and XLR) for other manufacturers. Input is selected from the front panel for maximum convenience and ease of use. However, a TUBE can only serve 1 product at a time.
