NEO iDSD 2 features several upgrades over its predecessor NEO iDSD, including support for the new aptX Lossless Bluetooth encoding, improved headphone and line outputs, and the latest Bluetooth 5.4 technology. In addition, NEO iDSD 2 has a powerful 5551mW output that outperforms many headphone amplifiers and is designed to be a versatile 3-in-1 DAC/Amp, while its predecessor NEO iDSD lacks some of these new features.
NEO iDSD 2 has an excellent internal clock. But, Ifi Audio has also added the ability to connect it to an external 10MHz clock!

NEO iDSD 2, is a versatile 3-in-1 DAC/Amp. designed specifically for CAS enthusiasts. It easily pairs with your headphones as a Head-Fi DAC/Amp, can be used as a pure DAC with your integrated amplifier, or act as a DAC/Preamp for your active speakers and power amplifiers. It features the latest Bluetooth 5.4 technology, which supports the new aptX Lossless encoding, the only Bluetooth encoding that can stream CD quality audio without sacrificing sound quality. The NEO iDSD 2 has improved headphone and line outputs, providing plenty of power for your demanding headphones and power amplifiers.
The NEO iDSD 2 watch, which is also upgradeable, requires some extra attention.
The internal GMT femto precision clock, combined with a smart storage cache, forms an advanced jitter reduction system. It effectively reduces jitter in the digital signal, resulting in a cleaner and more accurate sound.
If you have a more accurate external clock, or if you wish to synchronise with other devices such as CD players or network streams that have an external clock input, you can connect both NEO iDSD 2 and the other devices to an external clock (e.g. Silent Angel Genesis GX)) via the 10MHz External Sync Clock input for even greater clock signal accuracy. It is rare to find an External Sync Clock input in this price range. Even if you don't have an external clock, the internal GMT femto-precision clock still offers excellent performance in its class.
