Pylon Audio Jade

The Pylon Audio Jade 20 is a modern, technologically advanced speaker with a strong, yet colourful and spacious sound, enclosed in a tasteful, timeless vintage-style enclosure. This two-way design features a 12-inch midwoofer with a classic paper cone for the lower bandwidth, designed in-house. The BMS compression driver, responsible for the top end, works in a short tube with a Tractrix profile, specially designed by their engineers. Thanks to the appropriate selection and efficiency of the converters, they were able to achieve a bandwidth split of around 1200 Hz. The Jade 20 are easy to set up thanks to their 8-ohm impedance and efficiency of 91 dB - they can easily be driven by a low-power amplifier and show their full potential with a powerful transistor amplifier.

The speaker housings are made of solid MDF boards, further reinforced with internal ribs and struts to ensure the appropriate rigidity of the structure. The enclosures have been optimised to work both on a low support, which is part of the standard equipment, and an accessory, higher stand. Jade 20 is finished with a natural, oil-waxed American walnut veneer, emphasising their vintage aesthetic.

Jade 20 is a like a prominent concert-like performer: a combination of "strong sound" with unlimited freedom and the natural scale of the instruments. The speakers sound vital, with a strongly marked foreground, rhythmic and strong bass and colourful highs. This set would create a friendly concert atmosphere during hour-long listening sessions as well as a suggestive background for both work and relaxation.

The speakers are intended for use in rooms with a floor area of 18 to 45 m2.
